We Are The In Crowd's debut album, Best Intentions, was released today, 3years after the formation of the band. With Taylor Jardine voicing the band obvious Paramore comparisons are drawn and on certain songs a presence of Hayley William's lingers. But when you push past an obvious screen you can see how We Are The In Crowd are their own band, with their own sound.
Jordan Eckes who plays guitar as well as producing vocals brings a different style to the band. The two voices run smoothly beside each other, instead of Jordan just helping out in the chorus every noe and then, he is as much a singer of the band as Taylor. The music also shares the voice of the band, with Cameron Hurley on guitar, Mike Ferri on bass and Rob Chianelli on the drums. But while the two singers show a difference in the band, the music is what to be expected from a pop-punk band - it's good, just not great. The album it's self highlights the effort that the band have put in and the result of effort plus development? Equals a good album on any account.
Overall this debut album is one the band should be proud of. It has all the details a debut should:
-A more developed description of the band than the EP
-A direction in which the band are heading
-What the band has achieved
And just like what's shown in every album ever made, what the band have to offer to the music industry.
